1. There's no such thing as too much deodorant ...
With it being 102 degrees everyday in this dry weather... there's no doubt you feel like you're in a sauna all day long... luckily I have air conditioning here which is amazing
2. I will definitely be in shape by the time I'm back home
Since I don't have a gym membership back home in the summer, only during school I haven't had time to keep up with exercise... unless you consider my 12 hour shifts at work. Well after getting my luggage and meeting up with my boss, we had two trains to catch, similar to Marta, then a walk back to the Colegio - where I'm staying. Uphill. Hot. And a suitcase that is half broken. Not the most fun experience but it was definitely a pretty sight.
3. Eggs can go with any meal
I've never been much of an egg person but you kind of have to like them here. When we went to lunch after getting in, I got a meal that consisted of salad, french fries, sliced pork, and an egg on top. This sounded extremely odd but it was amazing. They also have tortillas españolas which have eggs and potatoes in it and doesn't really even have a tortilla in it at all but is just circular and thick, more like a pie because they give you a slice of it. 3. Gazpacho is not my cup of tea - or rather tomato juice
This is a very common drink, which looks really good kind of like a smoothie. I guess it's similar to bloody mary mix. As much as I don't like tomatoes, I tried it and it was not all that pleasant
Overall, it has already been an amazing experience and I can not wait for the students to get here and I can show them this wonderful city! Sunday is our first trip to Toledo! It should be great. Here's a picture of the view from the Colegio where I'm saying! Bet you can't say you wake up to this every morning ;)
Great stuff and beautiful view! Can't wait until the next post & keep those pictures coming!
